Job Posting: Electrical Engineer

Description (Job Summary): 

  • Need an electrical engineer that is experienced with working with the HVAC system to make a smart thermostat that is sustainable and compatible with the HVAC system.
  • Needing experience with analog and digital circuitry with sensors.
  • Having the ability to do field surveys.
  • Giving experience working in a team and helping make a product that would be beneficial to the future of the Earth.  

Responsibilities:  

  • Creating the electronic circuits that the thermostat will employ. This might entail creating circuit boards, choosing the right components, testing the circuits, and troubleshooting them. 
  • Collaborating with other engineers from different fields to develop a cohesive and user-friendly product. 
  • The electronic circuits that go into the thermostat must be designed and developed by you. This could entail creating circuit boards, choosing the right components, testing the circuits, and debugging them. 
  • During the development process, you could run into technical difficulties/ challenges. To make sure that the thermostat performs as intended, it will be responsible for analyzing these problems and coming up with solutions and putting them into action.  
  • Making sure that the thermostat is safe to use and following all relevant regulations and requirements and making sure the thermostat corresponds with relevant industry requirements.  
  • To detect temperature, humidity, people, etc., smart thermostats often use sensors. You are responsible for which sensors to use and how to incorporate them into the thermostat.  

Qualification:  

  • Bachelor in electrical engineering  
  • Be able to work in a team and be able to communicate 
  • Computer skills such as Microsoft Office, AutoCAD and Revit 
  • Passed the Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) exam 
  • Passed the EIT/PE exam  

Experience:  

  • Know how to work with analog and digital circuitry with sensors: 3 years experience (preferred). 
  • Software experience: 5 years (preferred) 
  • Experience with power systems: 5 years (preferred) 

Job type: Contract Job (Could have potential to become full time position.) 

Pay: $45-60 an hour  

Schedule: 

  • 8-hour shifts 
  • Monday to Friday  

 Commute/relocate: 

  • Reliably commute or plan to relocate to New York before starting work
